Secret Millionaire visits Amber
Amber Rocks
Amber was one of three organisations on Channel 4's The Secret Millionaire on 23rd September, to receive a donation from Kevin Green, one of the biggest private sector landlords in the country and a multi millionaire. Kevin was inspired by the work of Amber and gave £20,000!  "My interaction as a volunteer gave me an overwhelming sense of comradeship and it was like one huge family atmosphere, where we all helped each other. What impressed me most was the sense of self-worth the youngsters achieved..." Kevin has agreed to run the 2010 London Marathon for Amber and plans to visit us often and help in as many ways as he can. Visit kevingreensecretmillionaire.com to read more about Kevin's experience.

Amber Practical Training is piloting an innovative project with Dorset Probation. Through assessment and practical application offenders who are completing community sentences as part of the "un-paid work" programme can achieve an accredited reference. Amberteers help Bulgarian orphans

Amberteers help Bulgarian orphans
Groups of Amberteers have made three trips to Bulgaria this year to help paint classrooms and spend time with young pupils and orphans at a school for childen with special needs in Pernik, Bulgaria. It was a life changing experience for the Amberteers to see how these young children live compared to life in the UK. It has been such a successful project that Amberteers will be returning to Bulgaria on a regular basis.
